The program included 11 plenary talks, 1 sponsor session, 2 poster sessions and 25 topical sessions.
The total amount of the symposium participants was 209, including recognized experts in the field and young researchers from different universities and research centers in Europe (Austria, Belgium, Bolgaria, Denmark, England, Finland, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, the Netherlands, Slovania, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland), the USA, Canada, Japan, China, Australia, and Russia (21 all in all).
The International Symposium Topical Problems of Biophotonics (TPB) is held in Russia once in two years. The aim of the symposium is to provide a forum for biologists, physicists, neuroscientists and medical doctors, to discuss the state of the art of the science of biophotonics, including basic aspects and promising applications, and to give an insight into future advances and research possibilities in this field. The previous TPB events were held in 2007, 2009, and 2011.
The Symposium will include three parallel Topical Conferences
and four Workshops
A school for young scientists will also be organized.
Each Conference will include oral (invited and contributed talks) and poster sessions. Besides, some plenary lectures on interrelated topics are planned. Oral and poster presentations will be selected by the Program Committee Members from the submitted applications.
